How is the time stamp applied to a Kafka DataStore?

The UTC time is always transmitted via the Kafka DataStore.

There are two timestamps:

  • The timestamp is contained in the JSON Object itself.
  • Each message to the Kafka cluster has a timestamp outside the JSON object. The UTC timestamp is also used here.

Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.
